Sonia Lo Giudice, a young Sicilian talent, performs a duet with Romeo Velluto, a guitarist from Milan, in a performance that ranges from original tunes to postmodern, swing and Italian jazz.
Sonia Lo Giudice, 19 years old, approached music at a very young age by studying singing first, then piano. She obtained her first level academic diploma in jazz singing in 2023 with 110/110 cum laude at the Corelli Conservatory in Messina. In the same year, he had the opportunity to perform with the Lavica Jazz Quintet at the Sicilian Jazz Festival and was one of the first three finalists, with the same ensemble, at the National Arts Award Jazz Section 2023.
Romeo Velluto is active between theatre and original projects straddling jazz, pop and ethnic music. A finalist at Tuscia Jazz 2007 Emergenti category, he has played at Ronnie Scott and Blue Note, as well as with Attilio Zanchi, Yuri Golubev and Chicco Allotta (Incognito). Session man in the Piccola Orchestra dei Popoli and sideman for independent artists such as Cance and Marie Naffah.
