JAZZMI and I-Jazz are back together again to highlight and bring out the new Italian jazz talents, eclectic personalities and extraordinary musicians who show us the new trends in contemporary jazz at ARCA, the new cultural centre in the Romolo district that hosts JAZZMI 2022 as the first major event in its programme.
A high-level band led by the young guitarist Francesco Zampini, one of the brightest talents of the new generation of Italian jazz musicians. Winner of numerous national awards, after completing his studies at the conservatory he began his concert and recording career performing in the USA, Europe and Russia, collaborating with artists of international calibre such as Alex Sipiagin, Darcy James Argue, Ben van Gelder, Fabrizio Bosso, Scott Hamilton, Carl Allen and Alessandro Lanzoni.
His latest recording ‘Unknown Path’ (October 2020) has been described by Musica Jazz as “a real surprise; a high-profile record that confirms his intelligence as a guitarist, composer and band leader.”
