Antigua Duo, tributo a Jim Hall
tickets:
The figure of Jim Hall certainly earns its place alongside the word “revolutionary.” The guitarist contributed to weaving non-jazz materials into the tradition, offering fresh perspectives not only on how to approach his instrument, but also on the role it can play in music and jazz as a whole. A central pillar of his playing lies in free interaction among musicians—connected to, yet unconfined by, the rich language of the jazz tradition. To achieve this, Hall frequently favored the duo format, an intimate and chamber-like setting where the exploration of interplay takes center stage.
