Zanchini – Salis Duo: LIBERI…!

“Antonello Salis  is the only Italian accordionist (who actually accordionist is not…) with which, I think, it is worth improvising!”
Simone  Zanchini

Simone Zanchini and Antonello Salis come back together after more than ten years, to enjoy and experiment, today as in the past, a music without borders, fences or preconceptions. The possibility of constantly exchanging their role and fully taste the timbral and dynamic possibilities of each other instrument creates a flow of constant energy, inspired and creative but always free.

Zanchini is one of the most interesting and innovative accordionists on the international scene, His research moves between the boundaries of contemporary music, acoustics and electronics, sound experimentation, different contaminations without forgetting the tradition, resulting in a very personal approach to improvisation.
From 1978 Salis is main character  in solo piano and  accordion, in the major jazz festivals in Italy and abroad. His musical journey now forty years is studded with excellent collaborations: Massimo Urbani, Tommaso Pino Daniele, Ornella Vanoni, Vinicio Capossela. As a soloist he recorded four albums: Orange Juice, Nice Food, Salis!, Quelli che restano and Pianosolo.
