The WE3 trio is inspired by shamanic music and offers a particular repertoire dedicated to the Seventies. The inspiration comes from the music that John Surman, Bar Philips and Stu Martin played through their historic formation The Trio.
Through a repertoire of original compositions, WE3 pays homage to the feeling that, in the 1970s, led to the development of formations such as The Trio. The resulting sounds are rough, powerful, full. The dialogues between baritone saxophone, violone and drums are continuous, without interruption, like a flow that has the power to overwhelm, but at the same time to surround with an embrace, everything that revolves around the three musicians.
