Once again this year, in the splendid Stecca 3.0 hall, the Isolamusicaingioco Association, with Siamo Suoni Ensemble, proposes the concert Tutti quanti voglion fare il jazz for children from 0 to 6 years old and families. A jazz concert for grown-ups but proposed in a way suitable for listening to and involving children. The event is always a great success.
Everybody wants to do jazz: the famous ‘Aristocats’ song was chosen as the title of this concert dedicated to children and jazz organised by the Isolamusicaingioco association in collaboration with the Ensemble Siamo Suoni.
The concert, devised by jazz singer Désirée Niero, is proposed according to the principles of Edwin Gordon’s Music Learning Theory: no stage, no stalls, in the centre of the room the audience of young and old will be surrounded by the sounds of voices and instruments of the 7 musicians.
Jazz is played, sung, proposed to the audience of very young people in all its forms and broken down into its main scales to then be recomposed and enriched in the musicians’ arrangements. Throughout this process the active participation of the audience is requested and the children are free to move to the swing, bebop, blues, bossa rhythms, are invited to participate in circle songs and improvise stimulated and helped by the musicians.
