Tentets – Omaggio A George Gruntz e Franco Ambrosetti
Masters of jazz meet at Piccolo Teatro Strehler to present a concert-event dedicated to two giants of the genre, George Gruntz and Franco Ambrosetti and their discographic masterpiece Tentets, realized by the two Swiss musicians for Enja label in 1985.
George Gruntz has written all the arrangements and one composition, while Franco Ambrosetti is the main soloist and author of two pieces. The result is the most advanced Jazz of contemporary mainstream, in which writing doesn’t stifle the power and the weight of improvisations. For the occasion, the Civica Jazz Band presents an ensemble enriched of very relevant guests.
