Songhoy Blues, a desert-rock band from Timbuktu, arrive in Milan with a new album, “Héritage”, reshaping the sound that made them famous worldwide. Setting aside electric guitars, high-energy riffs, and the rock rhythms that brought them international acclaim, the group of former Malian exiles crafts what has been called a “triumphant return” (MOJO), embracing more ethereal tones and new traditional instruments that reflect the rich melting pot of the metropolis of Bamako.
