JAZZMI inaugurates its routes outside the city starting from Rozzano, just outside Milan, with a series of projects that will find home in Cascina Grande where workshops, concerts and special projects will alternate. In collaboration with Fondazione di Comunità Milano Onlus and Comune di Rozzano / Rozzano Library.

Simona Daniele Quartet

Simona Daniele tells the story of an emblematic character of jazz music, which despite the troubled private life has established herself as the forerunner of feminist movement and of the struggles for the statement of Afro-american people’s civil rights.

The voice of Simona, deep and scratchy, able to interpret a repertoire of this type with a really extraordinary intensity, will be accompanied by guitarist Lorenzo Barcella , Margherita Carbonell on double bass and drummer Stefano Lecchi. The arrangements are a direct bridge between the music and the lyrics, told through the use of sounds that refer to the tradition of mainstream jazz.
