A formidable quartet, for the first time in Europe together: Peter Erskine on drums, Alan Pasqua onpiano, Darek Oles on double bass and Bob Mintzer on sax.
Peter Erskine is a world jazzicon who has written pages of musical history. He was born in NewJersey and started playing drums at the age of four. At eighteen, he already began his professionalcareer with the Stan Kenton Orchestra, but it was with Weather Report that the legend really began:together with Jaco Pastorius and Joe Zawinul, he became a fundamental member in the golden ageof the ‘Fusion Band’ par excellence, recording five records, including the famous live ‘8.30’, whichwon a Grammy Award. Recently, with the project “Peter Erskine Trio feat Alan Pasqua & DarekOles”, he was nominated for Grammy Awards 2023 with the record “Live in Italy” (co-produced byZenart Cooperativa Artistica), recorded in Camogli (GE) during the tour of Italy in autumn 2021.
