“Celebrate 100” makes its world premiere at Blue Note Milano as part of JAZZMI 2026, celebrating the centenary of two visionary American songwriters: Oscar Brown Jr. and Mose Allison, both born in 1926. Led by Nick The Nightfly, this special quintet reimagines their timeless music, blending Oscar Brown Jr.’s socially conscious jazz poetry with Mose Allison’s witty, blues-infused songwriting in an evening of irresistible swing and groove.
The concert features special guest Ulf Wakenius, the internationally acclaimed Swedish guitarist best known for his decade with the legendary Oscar Peterson Quartet, whose lyrical style and unmistakable groove have made him one of today’s most celebrated jazz guitarist.
