The saxophone of Mirko Fait, saxophonist and composer with 31 albums and 5 singles to his credit, meets the trumpet of the great Gendrickson Mena.
Gendrickson Mena, born on 31 May 1973 in Havana, Cuba, graduated in trumpet, instrumentation and arranging in 1992. He participated in the Plaza Latin Jazz Festival and played in various important venues in Havana. Since 2001, he has collaborated with Vinicio Capossela and played at several jazz festivals, such as Umbria Jazz and the Nuoro jazz festival. He is active as a trumpet and piano teacher at the Sound City institute in Gaggiano (MI) and holds masterclasses, workshops and jazz improvisation courses together with teacher and singer Eva Simontacchi for the Accademia Vivaldi in Bollate (MI) and for other institutes. He is arranger and keyboardist of the gospel vocal group ‘Eva Simontacchi Vocal Ensemble’ since 2006, and collaborates in other gospel vocal projects as pianist – keyboardist.
