JAZZMI’s open encounters with great artists kick off this year with a special date featuring Francesco Cavestri and Willie Peyote. Prepare to be enthralled by an evening full of creativity and musical contamination, which will amaze you with its overwhelming energy.
Born in 2003, Francesco Cavestri is a young pianist, composer and populariser. Winner of prestigious scholarships from the Berklee College of Music in Boston to the New School in New York, his discography includes his debut album Early17 – realised with the collaboration of Fabrizio Bosso – and IKI – BellezzaIspiratrice, featuring Paolo Fresu. Cavestrisi has performed at renowned festivals and jazz clubs in Italy and abroad. With him on stage was Willie Peyote, one of the most innovative artists on the Italian indie scene, known for his mix of rap, rock and social denunciation. After experimenting with different genres and formations (including rock and punk) he found his way into the world of rap.
