A combination of conscious logic and fiery passion. The music looks to modern jazz, to rock, at times it is metal, at times songwriting. Powerful and solid melodies are accompanied by harmonies not too unfamiliar to the popular ear, supported by dramatic and important rhythms.
Matteo Paggi, trombonist alongside Enrico Rava in the ‘Fearless Five’ and internationally active musician, presents his leading project as a composer of modern jazz and crossover.
The project brings Matteo’s original compositions to the stage, compositions that dose just the right amount of passion and rationality, so that the burning fire of passion that resides in the heart is unable to burn out the cold, liquid, rational thought of the mind. The giraffe, having its heart far removed from its brain, symbolises precisely the capacity for coexistence of these two opposing dispositions; it is, moreover, the animal of foresight, with its long neck it can see far ahead, foresee the immediate future.
