‘Jazz as an inclusive force’ is the motto that drummer Marco Betti carries forward with his trio. Energy, elegance and a high level of emotional involvement are at the heart of their musical poposta, presented in the most classic of formations: piano, bass and drums.
The evening’s programme will be entirely dedicated to exploring the sound universe of an artist of whom Marco Betti is a profound connoisseur and passionate admirer: Edward Kennedy ‘Duke’ Ellington.
Ellington was a conductor, refined pianist and monumental composer, the creator of music that transcended all genre labels.
Rumble in the Jungle is also the name of the first album by the Trio led by Marco Betti and released in 2021.
