More Info

Far from the shady bankers of New York, it is in Angoulême that in 2012, in a small garage on Lehmann Avenue, five high school students in music option, groove brothers sharing the same passion for the African-American rhythms.

Influenced by funkers such as Prince, Ghost-Note or D’Angelo, the little Frenchies intend to revisit the famous jazz-funk of the seventies, while instilling hip-hop, house and nu-soul echoes.

But here there are no covers, since these young musicians, with three EPs to their credit, present only compositions signed by the members of the group: guitarist Alvin Amaïzo, bassist Clément Jourdan, and keyboardist and singer Julien Anglade, in an incandescent rhythmic alchemy that has nothing to envy to their prestigious references.

With its infernal rhythmic triangle supported by fiery brass, one can’t resist their repertoire for long, which makes one’s legs tingle and turns each of their concerts into a great mass of groove.

Line up

Alvin Amaïzo: Guitar
