Kurt Rosenwinkel Trio

Kurt Rosenwinkel is by many considered the most remarkable and futuristic guitarist of his generation.

Born in 1971, after being signed by Gary Burton during his studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston, he joined the Electric Bebop Band of Paul Motian. In 2001 he moved to New York, where he performed regularly with Brad Mehldau, Mark Turner, Ben Street, Larry Grenadier, Avishai Cohen, Jeff Ballard and Jorge Rossy. In 2013, Clapton invited him to the Crossroads Guitar festival at Madison Square Garden.

Endowed with a strongly romantic compositional vein and an absolutely personal timbre of rare beauty, in this trio, the champion from Philadelphia is excellently supported by the talent and class of drummer Greg Hutchinson and bassist from Salerno Dario Deidda, always next to Kurt in recent years even in his performances in the United States.

Blue Note Milano presents the exhibition The Black Square, a series of pictures taken just before or just after the concerts, with the eyes of the artists fixed in the camera and the lighting suitable to bring out the eyes, the mirror of the soul. Impertinent looks of the subjects and an unnatural scenario that goes straight to the most authentic intimacy. Roberto Cifarelli amazes once again with his ability to represent and interpret the world of music in an authentic and enchantingly surreal.

It is possible to visit the exhibition only during the opening of the room for the shows and after the purchase of the ticket for the show.
