From Rio de Janeiro to North America, the Jabuticaba group tackles the Brazilian jazz repertoire, proposing a borderline journey between the rhythms of Brazil and the harmonies of jazz. Where swing meets samba and bossa nova mixes with improvisation, for a concert that is the cheerful and at the same time nostalgic union of two worlds.
Jabuticaba is a musical group that looks to the world of Brazilian music and in particular to that repertoire of the Brazilian tradition that comes closest to jazz, proposing pieces that represent the meeting point between these two genres. Among the artists addressed: Milton Nascimento, Hermeto Pascoal, Chick Corea, João Donato, Flora Purim and many others.
