Homelife Quartet
JAZZMI returns to Rozzano, municipality of the Ambito Visconteo Sud Milano, where the Cuore Visconteo project is active, fighting material, educational and relational poverty in families with minors. The Homelife Quartet awaits us here, in the splendid Cascina Grande courtyard in Rozzano.
Pianist Carla Bley and bassist Steve Swallow are a musical union, but also and above all in life: both composers and perfomers, they have given the jazz repertoire of recent decades some of its most inspiring compositions.
Homelife Quartet, a project created by double bassist Tito Mangialajo Rantzer, recreates the atmospheres of Carla and Steve, drawing from their vast catalogue: listening to the quartet will immerse you in the intimacy of the home life of these two giants of 20th century American music.
