Emotional and cinematic break-beat trio GoGo Penguin brings music from its exhilarating new album Everything Is Going to Be OK (Sony Music XXIM) to the Jazzmi stage, along with tracks from its luminous previous catalog. Everything Is Going to Be OK was born out of a period of turbulence and loss. During a personally difficult time for the band, marked by deep personal loss and bereavement, the studio offered the group a refuge from real life. The resulting project draws its strength from a shared understanding and empathy. Through our difficulties, together, we will emerge stronger; all will be well.
