A morning of freshness in the ‘Boscoincittà’: Cascina San Romano, one of the very first examples of urban forestation in Milan, is the destination of JAZZMI, which, in collaboration with Forestami, features the harmonies and Balkan sounds of the Fan Fath Al Brass Band. To their notes, a nature walk is not to be missed.
Fan Fath Al was born from the passion of young musicians from Milan for Balkan music: the intention is to philologically re-propose the sounds of Eastern European music, starting from its origins in Turkey and the Middle East.
Transcriptions of original pieces help to capture the essence of this music, but at the same time there is no lack of original compositions and jazz arrangements of pieces from other genres. The listener can thus immerse himself in the sounds, harmonies and rhythms of the Balkans, embarking on a journey to faraway places.
