Epepe TRIO

Born in 2018 the band took its name and its concept from the novel “Epepe” by Ferenc Karinthy.
The themes related to the inability of communicating exposed in the novel, inspires the trio to write original songs in which sax often uses melodic repetitions and repeated notes such ad they were syllables in a foreign language. Songs that are undress from words, as they were unnecessary cerimonial parameters, to let the freedom to interpret at the listener.
On an aesthetic way they’re close to contemporary jazz, to progressive-rock, to informal jazz and, in some cases, even to dance music.
