In Enrico Pieranunzi’s boundless sonic world, jazz and classical music have always coexisted. Blues, baroque and much more, an eclectic activity in which pianism, composition and arrangement are inextricabily tied together and in which Pieranunzi has often worked has music author for movies and theatres.

FelliniJazz, recorded and published in 2003 with Camjazz ten years after the death of the great director Federico Fellini, relates exactly to the world of cinema. In this album, Enrico Pieranunzi gives a new light to the amazing compositions written by Nino Rota for those films. FelliniJazz  retraces the masterpieces of  the Fellinian style, giving new life to musical pearls such as I Vitelloni, La Dolce Vita and  La Strada’s soundtracks, that are so far in time now, but  timeless in memory.
Pieranunzi will performe with the ensemble that, since from the beginning of his carreer, has been his privileged ground for expression and trial. The piano – bass – drums trio is the sound dimension that offered him the best opportunities to fully bring out his abilities as musician, artist and composer. A quantitatively and qualitatively rich production, thanks to many collaborations for both live and recorded projects with famous Italian and European trios, gave to Pieranunzi give an important input to develope this band.
