JAZZMI torna a Milano per raccontare l’universo del jazz

· 15:30 - 18:30

Piazza Tirana

Piazza Tirana, 20147 Milano MI, Italia

Dirty Dixie Jazz Band

The quintet reproduces the primordial jazz of the beginning of the 20th century in the same style in which it was born and developed: funny and brilliant melodies re – read through an energetic and hoarse improvisation, presented with a noisy and exuberant spirit, now as a hundred years ago, they know how to surprise and drag the public of the street, of a party or of a ballroom.

In recent years, the Dirty Dixie Jazz Band is increasingly performing in nightclubs or to accompany  dances or other forms of choreographic entertainment for genres such as charleston, tapdance, burlesque and swing but, originally, they dedicated to concerts in the streets or squares. And it is precisely in a square that the band returns in occasion of JAZZMI 2020, to guide the public during a musical journey from the basketball court in Piazza Tirana in the Giambellino district, to Mercato Lorenteggio.

A comeback to the origins, both for the ensemble and for jazz music.
