With over forty years of career behind him, Bill Frisell has established himself internationally as one of the most influential musicians of his generation, making musical cross-pollination one of his defining strengths. At JAZZMI, he will present his latest work “In My Dreams,” created together with two exceptional musicians, Hank Roberts and Luke Bergman. It is a project that weaves together folk, blues, jazz, and traditional music, reflecting on a central question in the history of American jazz: the dialogue between cultivated music and popular roots, evoking a sense of Americana.
