JAZZMI torna a Milano per raccontare l’universo del jazz

· 15:30 - 17:30

Cascina Grande Rozzano

Viale Palmiro Togliatti, 105, 20089 Rozzano MI, Italia

JAZZMI inaugurates its routes outside the city starting from Rozzano, just outside Milan, with a series of projects that will find home in Cascina Grande where workshops, concerts and special projects will alternate. In collaboration with Fondazione di Comunità Milano Onlus and Comune di Rozzano / Rozzano Library.

Multimedia experimentation and electronic music workshop for children.
Can you play jazz music with leaves? In this workshop we will build interactive musical instruments using the beautiful autumn leaves that we will collect in the garden of Cascina Grande.
Thanks to a special technology the leaves will come to life, indeed sound! They will become real electronic instruments that at our touch will reproduce the sounds recorded by us.
What sounds are we gonna record? The leaves themselves will suggest it, with their colors and shapes: an orange sound, a round sound, a sharp sound…Playing with the association between the different senses, we will learn to recognize some of the characteristics of the sounds and use them to create our music.
With our electronic instruments made of leaves we could play together and have fun to recreate a small jazz concert!
