Arianna Masini & The City Flowers

The band was born in 2010 at the Scuola Civica Jazz in Milan. Although jazz is the founding element of the group, the heterogeneous background of the individual components contributed to build an absolutely original sound and musical identity. The repertoire includes jazz standards originally arranged, classic songs from the Brazilian tradition, as well as the jazz reinterpretation of famous pop songs.
Arianna Masini, a versatile singer, studied jazz singing with Maria Pia De Vito, Sheila Jordan, Albert Hera, Jay Clayton, Tiziana Ghiglioni. In 2012 she recorded her debut soloist album Perché io non potevo dimenticare le Rose, a concept album dedicated to flowers, released by Egea and presented at Blue Note in Milan, with the participation of musicians such as Diego Baiardi, Riccardo Fioravanti, Andrea Dulbecco, Fausto Beccalossi, Giulio Visibelli, Paolo Costa.
Finalist at the IMUA (International Massimo Urbani Award) and winner of the scholarship for the Spoleto Vocal Jazz Workshop held by Michele Hendricks, she collaborated with Franco Cerri, Emilio Soana, Enrico Intra, Tony Arco, Marco Ricci, Chris Cutler and the Artchipel Orchestra.
