A trio of musicians who decided to combine their characteristics respectively with the purpose of remembering the great jazz pianist Cecil Taylor, who passed away in 2018. A trio formed by flugel hornist and trumpeter Enrico Rava, drummer Andrew Cyrille and bassist William Parke: the result is extraordinary.
Out of this fortunate meeting was born “Blues for Cecil,” a record in which an endless blend of sounds is perceived. A continuous dialogue is established through the three instruments that never overlap each other, but on the contrary shape an ensemble work with all its facets and complexities.
