One of Europe’s leading jazz trumpeters, Fabrizio Bosso brings Routes to JAZZMI, a project that celebrates jazz as an ever-evolving language, bridging tradition and contemporary expression. Joined by his long-standing quartet, with whom he has shared more than a decade of artistic collaboration, Bosso explores new musical paths through a repertoire of almost entirely original compositions, with the sole exception of Ivan Lins’ Love Dance. The program moves from bebop influences to modal explorations and more atmospheric, suspended soundscapes, offering Bosso’s trumpet ample room for its distinctive, expressive voice. Routes is the result of a deeply collaborative creative process: each composition emerges from the dialogue among the four musicians, whose years of performing, recording, and working together have shaped a cohesive and unmistakable group sound.
