In 2024, Enzo Favata rediscovered the chemistry of his historic quintet Atlantico, breaking an 18-year silence to bring back one of the most iconic groups in contemporary jazz. Alongside him, extraordinary musicians such as Daniele Di Bonaventura, Marcello Peghin, Salvatore Maltana, and Alessandro Cau, create a rare synergy, capable of renewing itself naturally. The long-awaited return celebrates the legacy of “Atlantico” (1999), a 50,000-copy cult album that combined jazz and Mediterranean roots with the magical realism imagery of Borges, García Márquez and Sepúlveda. On stage, the group demonstrates that this music knows no time: it remains intact in its visionary power, far from nostalgia and projected towards a new creative chapter that culminates this year with a highly anticipated album for the prestigious ECM label.
