The project of Sicilian saxophonist Giovanni Digiacomo is mainly based on compositions from the American Song Book, as well as original compositions by the musicians themselves. Although the trio represents a major challenge for the soloist, the arrangements that give the project its precise connotation remain evident.
The Giovanni Digiacomo Organ Trio has a sound that is energetic and melodic at the same time, where rhythm, dynamics and interplay are the foundations. The group already has several festival and festival appearances under its belt, as well as collaborations with famous names on the Italian jazz scene. In 2024 the group’s first record will be released, entirely produced by the M.P.A. records label in Milan.
