“Oolong Espresso”

The Oolong espresso project was born at the behest of Blue Note China to bring a message of absolute and peaceful understanding, encouraged and supported by the valuable intervention of the Italian Cultural Institute in China. The project started in Shanghai and Beijing, where the first act of a series of concerts that will take place in the most prestigious clubs was held. Oolong Espresso is a creative system that hosts musicians and composers of original jazz, but that also proposes the revisitation of the most diverse repertoires, each time hosting new friends of great artistic level, always with the aim of integrating several cultures in the same expressive act. The meeting from which this appointment starts is that between Niccolò Faraci and Strucky Yi: as a witness to the evolution of Chinese jazz, Niccolò Faraci has had the opportunity to consolidate a creative relationship with great artists since 2007, including the Chinese pianist and composer.
