Gianni Cazzola, Simone Daclon on piano and Alex Orciari on double bass, have been playing together for about twenty years and for this occasion will have the pleasure of hosting Attilio Costantino on guitar, in the formula dear to Cazzola’s last groups.
Three Generations is the encounter between a veteran and leader of jazz drumming in Italy and around the world, two experienced and talented musicians who have been sharing music and stages all over Italy since the early 2000s, and a very young, talented and promising soloist.
The quartet plays pieces by great instrumentalists (Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers, Charlie Parker, Jackie Mc Lean, Horace Silver, Monk, Gigi Gryce) and pieces from the repertoire of the Great American Songbook, whose roots are swing and bebop, of which Gianni Cazzola remains one of the greatest interpreters.
