How is jazz changing today, more than 100 years after its birth? Guided by the thoughts aloud of Venerus, a Milanese singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, we go behind the scenes of the festival to ask the great masters directly.
Beat is a docufilm made of live music, verité interviews on the meaning of jazz and abstract filmic moments that capture the visionary approach of greats such as Sun Ra, Gilberto Gil, Fresu, Bosso and young rising stars like Samara Joy, Ibrahim Maalouf, Oscar Jerome and others.
