After the great success of Carioca in 2007, the pianist, TV showman, composer and writer Sefano Bollani, returns to his great love for the Brazilian sounds with a new album QUE BOM, tour will start on summer 2018. While Carioca went through the great Brazilian themes, QUE BOM, performed entirely in the pulsating heart of Rio, features mostly original compositions by the musician that uses these words to tell the genesis of this new, awaited project: “I wanted to be surrounded by percussion, because the piano itself is part of that tribe. I have always been in love with Brazilian music. A genre that uses the harmony of jazz combined with rhythms of African’s origin … “. With him, on tour, great Brazilian musicians such as Jorge Helder, Jurim Moreira, Armando Marçal and Thiago da Serrinha.
Pianist, composer, performer, writer and TV’s showman, just few know that Stefano Bollani was born in Milan. He told us about it last year at JAZZMI2107, with his project Born in Milan, dedicated to his hometown. It is not necessary to remember his collaborations with the biggest names in jazz scene or do the list of the titles of his great discography.
Stefano Bollani is one of the Italian excellences in the international jazz panorama, his music tells stories, past and future lives, loves, pains and dreams.
